Job Description
Adcade (www.adcade.com) is an NYC-based ad tech startup that is looking for motivated self-starters who wants to get on board with a fast moving startup company.
Adcade is rapidly expanding its technology team to create cool ad solutions for advertisers and publishers. To do that, we need uber-creative developers that can work quickly and help us deliver kick- ass solutions.
PLEASE NOTE: although our company name is Adcade, our office is not an actual arcade, although there are the occasional video game happy hours. Candidates will not gain any wilderness badges, nor will they gain experience toward becoming a licensed airline pilot. But if applicants want to see their work have a significant impact on a growing company, then this is the ideal place to work.
Qualifications:
- Exposure to development of web based applications
- Demonstrated ability to quickly get up to speed on new technologies Responsibilities:
- Project planning, solution and testing on front-end development and the occasional back-end updates.
- Develop code for the website, mobile site, Facebook applications, email marketing and more.
- Perform quality assurance across browser and platforms including bug fixes and site
improvements.
- Identify and work productively with third parties.
- Work closely with cross functional partners such as creative, web and marketing.
- Work within project schedule and maintain accurate records of completed projects and site
changes.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Back End Developer
- Must have strong knowledge of Core Java
- Strong sense of OOP methodologies and design patterns.
- Proficiency with Linux Operations is required.
- Familiar with any of the scripting language: python, perl, ruby, shell
- Familiar with deployment automation is a plus (such as maven2/ant, Jenkins, cron, fabric,
puppet/chef, etc)
- Worked with REST / JSON / Thrift / ProtoBuf based APIs.
- Experience with Dependency Injection Framework such as Spring is a plus.
- Familiar with Security architecture is a huge plus.
- Solid knowledge with any SQL Database is a must.
- Familiar with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA/JDO is a plus.
- Any experience with NoSQL database is a plus.
- Must have worked with Version Control System such as git, svn or mercurial.
- Familiar with the software development life-cycle, such as unit testing & continuous integration.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies is a plus. |
