Job Description
BaubleBar is seeking engineers to help build the next generation of our ecommerce platform that is scalable and fast. This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact at a fast-growing, VC-backed start-up. Your work will be used by millions of users. You’ll report directly into the VP of Engineering and work in our swanky new office located in Manhattan.

YOU...
Have 2+ years of real-world experience as software engineer working with Java technologies. While experience is important, we value the ability to learn new technologies and grow skillsets even more so. Attitude is everything.
Have an in-depth understanding of Java and J2EE technologies, but are eager to work in new languages and development stacks.
Are experienced in using databases such as MySQL. Maybe even a little NoSQL such as Mongo?
Have worked with and built web services. You understand SOAP and REST intimately. Experience with Jersey a huge plus.
Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, ActiveMQ. Exposure to enterprise service bus technologies such as Camel and Mule is great.
Want to be a part of a team working to build an awesome e-commerce platform for desktop platforms and mobile. As our business grows, we’ll also be working on tools to help scale our operations such as fulfilment and customer service.
Thrive by working in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
Are looking to join a team that is passionate, quirky and sometimes a little bit weird.
Have experience writing testable code and never forget about performance and scalability.
Want to write amazing code that is blazing fast that will help us scale our growing business.
Are passionate about technology and learning new things. You constantly push the limits of what you thought was possible.
Might have contributed to an open source project or written a blog post or two.
Can shoot a nerf gun with pinpoint accuracy.
Bonus points: prior experience e-commerce.
