Quirky is a social product development™ company that brings consumer product ideas from sketch to store every week, and rewards the thousands of contributors to these products with a share of the revenue generated by their sale. We make invention accessible and are revolutionizing the way consumer products are made. Our products are regularly featured on blogs such as TechCrunch, Gizmodo and Engadget, and we have also been profiled by a number of publications ranging from the New York Times to Parade Magazine. We are seeking to hire a passionate and talented mobile developer who will help us change the product development industry by making invention accessible to all.
Responsibilities:
As a mobile developer at Quirky, you’ll be joining a small, collaborative tech team where you will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of development of our current iPhone application in addition to the future of Quirky on other mobile platforms.
Skills & Requirements
Requirements:
At minimum, you will have at least a few years of professional experience with the following technologies and software. These are the tools that we work with every day and that we expect you to hit the ground running with. The quantity of your experience is not nearly as important as the quality of it.
- iOS and/or Android technologies (Objective C, iPhone SDK, Android SDK, etc)
- Git
- Xcode
- have published one or more applications in the App Store and/or Android Market
- Agile, Iterative Development
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- action and detail oriented
- highly self motivated to drive projects to completion

- Ruby on Rails web development
- Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS)
