Job Description
Canvas is a digital agency made up of talented, passionate and thoughtful people. We create innovative digital experiences for leading brands like Showtime, BBC, Credit Suisse and Estee Lauder.
We're seeking a full-time Senior User Experience Designer to join our growing UX practice. You'll spend your days crafting beautiful and effective interfaces for web, mobile, tablet, and other digital touchpoints for world-class companies.
If you are passionate about extraordinary user experiences, perpetually aspire to merge form and function, and are skilled at creating unique interactions that haven't been imagined before, read on.
You'll be working closely with clients and a collaborative team of designers, project managers, and engineers to craft an initial strategy -- understand the business problems, define user experience goals, develop content strategy recommendations, establish success metrics, and develop a roadmap to deliver on project objectives. You'll also have the opportunity to develop the UX practice and processes to create great user experiences within Canvas.

Your deliverables are top-notch.
You can share detailed user flows, wireframes, information architecture docs, and functional specifications you've created and speak to how they served a product's goals. You have an eye for detail and understand the value of impeccable documentation. Audience is key, and you're sensitive to who will be viewing the deliverables created.
You're an expert communicator.
You're a pro at communicating your vision and research with everyone -- whether it be a client, an in-house designer, or an engineer. Your knack for articulating ideas spans visual, verbal and written forms.
You don't shy away from complexity.
You are comfortable delving into the complexities of challenging business logic and getting a handle on subject matter that may be foreign. Making sense of complex concepts and providing organization to large volumes of content are things you take on with enthusiasm.
You're a self-starter.
You possess leadership qualities and are equally strong working independently and collaboratively to resolve challenges.
You're big on research.
You're on top of emerging trends in the field and your'e knowledgeable about existing UCD processes and UI patterns. Leading user research and stakeholder interviews is key to your approach to design.
