With our first product line, flowers, H.Bloom has experienced fast traction in our four current markets, New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco and Dallas - growing revenue over 700% from 2010 to 2011, and more than doubling again last year. We're poised to massively disrupt the fragmented $32B+ flower market.
By joining our growing team now, you'll be instrumental in paving the way for our expansion, touching both front- and back-end systems that are vital to the way our business runs and grows.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, implement, test and maintain back end services and front end web applications to support the H.Bloom business.
Work with colleagues to identify requirements for new applications
Follow best practices regarding development, QA, and release processes.
Take ownership of software and continually strive to increase quality.
Skills & Requirements
There's only one real requirement: that you're awesome. We know that a rockstar developer will be able to handle anything that gets thrown at them, regardless of language or technology. If you pinned us down though, we'd like to see the following:
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
Strong knowledge of core Computer Science concepts such as Data Structures, Algorithms, and Software Design
Expertise in Java, C++, or C# as well as strong Object Oriented design skills
Proficiency with relational databases and data model design
Working knowledge of HTML / CSS and Javascript / AJAX
Experience with Unix / Linux platform |
